Volunteers Needed

Fundraising - Grant Applications (Placed June 2010)

We are looking for a volunteer with good written and oral skills to help us with grant applications.   As a small local charity we are heavily dependent on income from grant making trusts.  You will work closely with the manager, identifying potential funders and applying where appropriate.  Hours to suit.  Experience preferred but not essential - willingness to learn and commit are essential.  Reimbursable expenses and on site parking.  For an informal chat to find out more, phone Kathryn on 023 8076 9882. 

 

Car Drivers - (Updated June 2010)

Transport is a particular problem for people who are blind and partially sighted. Fear and uncertainty of how to get to their destination, often preventing people from going out altogether, which then can lead to isolation and depression.

We need car drivers to transport these people to and from our centre in Bassett. 

-Hours are available to suit

-All mileage reimbursed at .40p a mile plus other related expenses

-Only local driving

-Full training, support and insurance provided
